New Technology can Make Interplanetary Travel on Electromagnetic Propulsion


One of the biggest issues with Interplanetary travel has always been that there would not be enough fuel to complete that travel. In theory electromagnetic travel would work great but it is has been hard to overcome certain physical principles to test this theory. However NASA scientists in Cleveland, Ohio have been performing tests in vacuum like conditions. The research showed that the thrust provided by the electromagnetic drive could be enough to propel space ships.

Google Maps shut down editing after prank


Google Maps has decided to shut down editing on the map maker tool after a pranker began to draw inappropriate symbols on the map. For example a local cartoonist drew an Android robot peeing on the apple symbol on top of a park in Pakistan. Once Google heard of this they completely took out editing and apologized for the embarrassing incident.

Oculus Rift goes on on market early next year


The makers of the Oculus rift claim that it will begin to be shipped out in the first quarter of 2016. They will be taking pre-orders later this year and the price yet has not been determined. The device was designed to become the next step in virtual reality gaming. Then facebook purchased the rights to the project in hopes to turn it into a communication tool. People who are interested in the technology will not have to wait much longer.

Self-Aiming Bullets Developed by U.S. defense agency hits moving targets

Smart bullets are on the horizon and they can use guidance systems and movement to change direction in the air. This technology is called Exacto and it was developed by snipers in case of bad weather conditions, a wind change, and a moving target. This technology can help save soldiers from friendly fire but  if given to the wrong people could be a very dangerous weapon.

Japanese Railway Train sets World Record

A Japanese Railway train set the world record for fastest train when it hit 603 kilometers per hour or 374 miles per hour. The train spent 10.8 seconds traveling over 600 kilometers per hour and it cover about 1.1 miles. These special trains use magnets to push the train forward at extreme speeds.

Apple Watch has been delayed

The new Apple Watch has been delayed from opening to about April 24th and will now open at about June. You can still pre-order the product online will be shipped on a date to be announced by Apple. The delay is most likely due a shortage of materials to make the watch. The watch sold about 10 million watches on April 10th when it was first available online.

New Ford Car Automatically obeys Speed Limit

The new edition of Ford's S-Max series has new technology that scans traffic signs and automatically adjusts the throttle to help drivers stay within the speed limit and avoid fines. This new system does not apply the brakes but instead smoothly controls the engine torque by electronically adjusting the amount of fuel delivered. Although this method is effective Ford admitted that you can override the system temporarily by pushing hard on the accelerator.
